Hey there everyone, I had a mini shunt implanted into my left eye for glaucoma yesterday. They didn't stick a tube all the way down my throat just a mouth piece put to the back of my throat. I had a cold/sinus infection about a week and a half ago, was on antibiotics and had a lingering cough. The anesthisiologist gave me Robinol to dry up my nasal secretions with my sedatives. After surgery it hurt to breathe in deeply and I was am still bringing up blood, both black and red, from my nose and chest. I went to the ER last night but they couldn't really find anything. Any thoughts what could be causing all of this? Thanks

well if the doctors in ER couldn't find anything, my best guess would be it's just drainage from the procedure and should pass soon.

first they should have waited until you felt better to do the surgery. Especially if you were coughing. I'd say everything is ok though.
