Gonorrhea is a bacterial infection caused by Neisseria gonorrheae. When it is sexually transmitted, you can test for it with a urine sample or a swab of the area. Swabbing is also effective for detecting gonorrhea in the anus or throat (obviously not with the same swab). If one of you has gonorrhea, both of you need to get tested and treated so you don't pass it back and forth between each other.

Usually, gonorrhea doesn't display symptoms. If it does, you would experience burning during urination and pus discharge from the penis. It can cause inflammation and swelling through your urinary tract and lead to epididymitis and swelling of the testes.

No, coughing up blood isn't a symptom. Since it is curable, it handiest results you till you cross and get it cured, for this reason negating the risk of your children getting born with it. Men have equivalent part results which frequently incorporate burning throughout urination or a white/yellow discharge. Apparently gonorrhea can also be transferred orally, however infections within the throat frequently purpose no signs. Do be aware that if you are worried, you will have to quite often get looked at, on account that if left untreated it will possibly purpose longer term wellness results. Hope that is helping!
