Have you ever looked on the side of a Haagen Dazs Ice Cream container to see what it says? It says...Serves 4.. LOL!

tarontttt your answer might make sense, if it weren't for the realization that there is nothing healthy about ice cream. It is saturated fat, gums, partially hydrogenated oils and industrially processed sugar, and /or aspartame, acesulfame, etc. these substances are worse than sugar.

You're obviously talking about a pint.

It probably makes the calories and carbohydrates seem smaller, appealing to a health-conscious individuals. That's what most people look at when they read the nutritional facts anyways . They might not even notice the serving size.

They're not a joke. If all Americans would follow the "serving sizes" we wouldn't have a country with an obesity problem.

Well...I'd say there are two reasons for it: first, packaged food ppl are into a business which they dont want to ruin by giving large amt of food for the current price and sencondly, they dont want to jeopardise ppl's health by doling out large quantities of junk food....

Because they don't want you to sue years later when you have a heart attack or diabetes complications from all that pussy unhealthy sh*t you ate.
