A nonstop cough for about a year is pass time for a doctor. If you have been to a doctor, and you have not had the problem corrected, then you need to be seeing someone else. This sounds serious. You most likely need to see a specialist.

Trouble get it checked , you never mentioned your age , but you spelled everything right so guessing you are over 35 (LOL) I have Alpha 1 and my cough was 10 years straight took one young doc to get me 1 test to tell me I was born with this lung disease.

Acid reflux, post-nasal drip, and ACE inhibitors (blood pressure medicines like lisinopril and captopril) are common causes. Less common causes include asthma, COPD, and lung cancer.

Best to see a doctor about it.

Could be chronic bronchitis, Asthma, Emphesema, or Lung cancer.
