your dads stupid. no offense, of course. you have asthma. RAD, or reactive airway disease is exercise induced asthma. it can be caused by cold or hot weather, exercising, stress, adrenaline rushes, being scared, or even laughing. howw do i know? because im 13 and was diagnosed with it last year. believe me i know exactly what your talking about. drink lukewarm water, and breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth, evenly but not too deeply. try to 'smell the air' (i konw it sounds wierd but concentrate on it and it really helps.) put your hands on top of your head, or an icepack on your neck. you need to go to the doctor and get a fast-acting albuterol inhaler. email me if you need more help. just dont panick, your okay now.

I have exercise-induced asthma, and I don't think that is what you are experiencing. It sounds like you might be hyperventilating. Are your hands or face tingly?

When you hyperventilate, you breathe too fast and your lungs have too much oxygen in them. Try breathing slowly, concentrating on exhaling as much as possible. If it doesn't improve, you could go to the hospital.

An asthma attack is different. If I run or jog, my throat starts to tighten up and it feels like breathing through a straw. If I continue running, I will start to see spots because of the lack of oxygen. But once I stop, my breathing will get back to normal within minutes.

It's possible that you had an asthma attack, freaked out, and have been hyperventilating every since. Or somehow your running caused extreme hyperventilation. Shaking and dizziness could be signs of either.
