First of all, YOU should visit a "trusted and competent doctor." Are you concerned with blood clots? If so, there are some things that you can do, right now. Secondly, you should ONLY try "natural remedies" if you are NOT already taking blood thinners. Medications like Coumadin, Warfarin and Heperin are well known blood thinners. Now, if you are NOT satisfied with the doctor's advice, then you can go the "natural route." I would suggest that you go to the nearest library and get books by Dr. Mehmet Oz and Dr. Cass Ingram. They are "real" doctors who are "certified" and have helped me immensely. They also have experienced "big trouble" by conservative America, because our "regular" doctors can't make money because of them. Have you ever been to a doctor who said that you are fine? Then the doctor would say, "Don't come back because you are cured?" No, they wouldn't. Those particular doctors want to keep making money off of you. You should sit on the "wide seats on buses, planes and other common carriers" to have appropriate leg room. This is the basic cause of big "clot" problems. Also, we are networked here to help each other. Be wise and look at all the alternatives that are out there just for you. What shall we then say to these things? If GOD be for us, WHO can be against us? - Romans 8:31. The Lord daily loadeth us with BENEFITS, even the God of our salvation. Selah. - Psalm 68:19. - Peace, Love and God Bless.

Blood clots are serious. If you have them, they usually form in your legs and it is possible for them to dislodge. If that happens it could cause a stroke, heart attack, pulmonary embolism (blocks blood from going to the lungs) which all could result in death. Dislodging blood clots can be preventable. First you need to confirm that you have them, usually done by an ultrasound or a CT scan. If you do, doctors will probably need to start you on blood thinners, to help the clot dissolve. If your clots are serious, they may need to put in a filter in the inferior vena cava (vein leading to the lungs) to stop clots in their tracks. It can be very serious, you should have a cardiologist look into it right away. If you do have a clot, it is important to know that you will always be prone to clots. Please don't wait, time is very important.

Deep vein thrombosis (also called DVT) is a blood clot in a vein deep inside your body. These clots usually occur in your leg veins. While DVT is a fairly common condition, it is also a dangerous one. If the blood clot breaks away and travels through your bloodstream, it could block a blood vessel in your lungs. This blockage (called a pulmonary embolism) can be fatal.

And? They are clotted clumps of blood that can become dislodged and plug an artery, leading to a stroke/death. Usually treated with a blood thinner, but, the doctors really decide what to do. The worse ones are ones that can get to your brain.
You can get then in many ways, one way is sitting in he sam position too long, especially LONG flights, like US to Sydney, they use to have people et up and fall over after landing.
