My blood sugar was 39 and my temperature was 102 when I passed out driving my car on the highway. I end up going to the hospital and not waking up for 5 hours. I was in the hospital 3 times during a 24 hour period. The first time was when I passed out outside in the heat while I was drinking and I took me medication at 9:30 P.M. that night and I didn’t wake up for 3 or 4 hours in the hospital. The second time was when I broke my arm and they gave me two shots in my butt so I could get x-rays for my hand. The third time in 24 hours was when I was driving my car on the highway and I passed out and my dad was following me. I donated some blood at my community blood center a couple months ago and its time for me to donate again which I want to but I don’t want to pass out. The doctor drew my blood and I won’t know the results until next week sometime.

Since I donated my blood for the first time I have been getting dizzy and wanting to faint and stuff like that. The doctor told me to eat 3 meals a day with snacks in-between and that will help. I also have a poor diet and I eat candy and junk food all the time. I want to donate my blood for the second time but I don’t know if I should or not.

you need to stop eating the candy and junk food, it is causing havoc with your body as you just described. NO, do not donate blood until your tests are back.

well, if u have almost all this symptoms u can think at this possibility, but if not maybe u just have a little bit of anemia. anyway u should listen to you're doctor, he is right. u should eat better and healthier. also u should wait a little more before donating you're blood again. i think u are feeling like this just because u lost some blood. good luck! med student.

It could be prediabetes, it could also be hypoglycemia (low blood sugar). My MIL is diabetic & one of my good friends is hypoglycemic. Your symptoms sound closer to hypoglycemia to me but I am not a doctor or nurse. The best person to find out from is them. The best thing for you to do while you are waiting for your results is CHANGE your diet. Get more protein, cut out most of your sugars & simple carbs. Complex carbs are much better than simple carbs. Eat lots veggies & some fruits too. You can find diabetic diets online I am sure - hypoglycemic diet is the same as diabetic diet because your body overproduces insulin when you eat sugar, causing you to get low blood sugar, you crash & could pass out. So either way you want to eat healthier & stop eating sugar. Drinking will make you crash too because alcohol changes to sugar in your system. Give up alcohol for a while, don't donate blood, get yourself healthy.
Good luck to you.
