While there are at least 13 patents on self sustaining energy devices in the US (last time I checked) there are none that are currently on the market. The closest that I am aware of are solar panels and peltzer junctions.

There are no self-sustaining energy sources in the universe. I'm amazed that people don't know this.

Solar energy systems are on the market--and have dropped in price considerably (50%) in the last few years.
Someothers--wind, etc. are also available, but solar is the main one on commercial/retail markets right now.

In 1938 Henry Ford bought the rights and patents to the only perpetual motion machine that has been created to date. That same year he also bought the rights to the process for turning water into gasoline.

The last time I checked, the Second Law of Thermodynamics has not been repealed and as far as ANYONE can demonstrate, in any system Entropy (the amount of disorder) always increases.
Even windmills need maintainence or they fall apart.

I think that solar power is about the best we have available unless you can afford and actually buy a nuclear power generator.
