When I let my other half carve the joint (Lamb or Beef) why do I get soooo irritated when he carves it the wrong way?
i.e. against the 'grain' so to speak. Am I being too picky?

Because you know that it will be tough if cut incorrectly. A piece of meat should be cut across the grain to be tender when chewed. Show him how to do it.

LOL you are not picky at all. There is a right and wrong way, perhaps you should show him a few times and let him taste the meat the right way and wrong way so he can distinguish and understand what you are saying.

Perhaps. So long as the dinner tastes and looks fine then I dont see the need to be so iritated, we all have our own ways of doing things.
