Stay calm for crying out loud. This kind of reaction shows that you are too young emotionally to be having sex.

This is not an indication of an STD. This comes from a guy that works in a lab like the one you would go to if you show up at your doctors office with this complaint. First, it is too early for something like herpes simplex to incubate and cause a lesion. Relax before you throw yourself into a panic attack. It's a good idea to think about these things before you get into these situations. Glad you know enough to ask questions, now show some maturity and relax get some information about having sex safely.

It is common for people who first become sexually active to be paranoid that you have caught something. The fear is uncomfortable, but a good thing because it encourages safer sex and better choices. However, it doesn't matter how many or few partners you have had when it comes to STD's.

First of all, if this sore is actually ON your lip it may be a herpes lesion. Both types of Herpes (oral and genital) can be spread by contact (kissing, oral sex, intercourse), and are contagious for two weeks prior, during, and two weeks after a breakout. Not to add to your paranoia, but this is very scary because you may be in contact with a carrier who is asymptomatic at the time of contact.

Keep an eye on it, and while it is in question don't spread it!

Not very likely. Genital herpes to pass to oral is difficult without an open sore. Still, keep an eye on this area and if it heals within the next few days, it isn't herpes. If it lingers or you have tingling, pain, or spreading of the lesion that look like blisters, it is time to get to the doctor. Why don't you ask your partner if she has any STD's. I know it is a difficult question, but it is one that should be asked. Good for your for using a condom. Good health.

The best bet would be going to the Doctor. I think you may worry about things way to much hypochondriac possibly. Also to all the answers that say depends on how many partners, etc. if she is clean is wrong. Some one can be a carrier without ever having sex. They can also be the cleanest of clean, but be a carrier of things. The sore more than likely is not an issue herpies are a blister looking sore. It never does hurt to be retested from time to time.

If I were you I would consult your doctor and get proffesional help. A cold sore is a type of herpies I get them all the time but I dont actually have herpies. But Then again I am a virgin and I have never had sex. So I really would like you to consult a doctor for proffessional help. good luck.
p.s. Ask her if she has ever been tested for STD's. It cant hurt to ask. It can help more than it can hurt.

Wait a little while and get tested. What you have on your lip is not an STD from 2 nights ago, they don't show up that soon. I would agree that its probably acne, but get tested just to be sure. Better safe than sorry!

Just remember that long before HIV existed, there was another STD, more terrible than death itself, and is carried by females (who never manifest symptoms of it) but only affects males. I'm sure you have heard of it, the nastiest deadliest STD of all time, known to the ancients and still with us and incurable, untreatable. Unlike AIDS which can cause death, if you get this one, you'll wish you were dead. I, of course, refer to the dreaded STD known in England and among Bikers at Sturgis as The Creeping Crud. Women carry it and pass it to men, but only men are affected as it attacks the male member. Symptoms include: initial discoloration, urinary pain, swelling, eventually with the member turning black, shrivelling up and falling off!

And remember, there's NO cure or treatment! Let it be Herpes! Let it be AIDS~! Let it be anything but the Creeping Crud, and you might have it! hahahaha

There is always a chance of getting a STD when you have unprotected sex. Use some medication to clear up the place on your lip but if it returns or doesn't clear up then you need to get to the doctor.

Zero almost, I'd not worry about it, but use a condom from now on and no oral sex unless your mouth is free from any kind of sores or cuts.
