I did some work in Norway where they still hunt whales.

They taste rather gamey for a fish, and very very fishy. I wouldn't be able to eat very much of one.

Whale oil is some of the best lubricant ever found for some reason.

Whales are big and have high rate of bioaccumulation (I think that's the word) and therefore an extremely high lead concentration can build up in their body.
