Yeah, I've just been worried about this for a little bit. I work out and everything six days a week but I'm still concerned if that's not enough to stave off the disease. Anybody have answers to this question?

If they don't heal for a couple of weeks perhaps you should be concerned but a couple of days means nothing.

Anytime you have a sore that won't heal, you should see a doctor. I don't think you have to worry about diabetes but you may have other problems. Always better to be safe than sorry. Diabetes also requires a regular good balanced diet. Leave the white stuff alone, the sweet stuff alone, and alcohol alone or at least partake in moderation. You need to learn about keeping your sugar/insulin level stable. Read Dr. Sears book about dieting. He talks about being prediabetic, what foods will kick your sugar level up, and about eating small balanced meals. It's good background. And go online and find some good diabetic sights and start reading there. Extremes do not stop diabetes-it's balance that does it.

Keeping in shape is just one factor in the equation. If you want to insure that you have the greatest chance of avoiding the disease, you have to watch what you eat, and keep your weight down. Eating, keeping the weight down, and exercising as if you are a diabetic, is the best thing you can do.

Slow healing can be lots of things.

Stop worrying and get your blood checked. It's easy and only takes a minute.

You need to keep the wound very clean with daily soap and water washing. It wouldn't hurt to put on some antibiotic ointment and cover with a bandaid. Watch for redness, swelling and pain. Go to the doctor if you start seeing symptoms like that. May be first sign of infection and will need oral antibiotcs.
