Okay, so I don't eat meat except seafood. I also don't eat gelatin. Also, I'm trying to become vegan. What is that called? I've been telling people that I'm pescatarian, but I'm not sure if that's completely accurate.

Congratulations on making these strides :).

Right now you are... No different from bob the Mcdonalds lover. "Pescatarian" is a term like "Flexitarian." A pseudo name to make those who are working towards vegetarianism to make themselves feel special.

I am not insulting you, quite to the contrary I applaud your concern for animals, but do not fuss with names or the like.

Good luck,

John.

Pescetarian or omnivore are the best terms for you. You are not a vegetarian since you eat animals. If you're trying to go vegan, surely you know you will have to give that up. Good for you for your progress so far.

There is this group of vegetarians that eat fish meat. In your case, seafood could belong to this category. So you could fall in the group of pescatarians.

You would be considered a pesco-vegetarian by the rest of the world and many cultures, luv. But you don't need anyone's approval . . . least of all this herd of silly cows on here who really don't have any concept of the world outside.

You also have one of the finest diets in the world as a pesco-vegetarian. The Okinawans are pesco-vegetarians and are reported by the IVU to have the healthiest diet. That is also true of Japanese vegetarians ... who are largely pesco-vegetarians as well.

But it is true dear you will have to cut out fish/seafood if you are going to be vegan. But that is a silly idea dear. You have a wonderful and healthy diet, why give that up for some fanaticism and bizarre cultic diet/philosophy? Unless of course you don't have a life..
