Probably about 20,000.
But then I do live in Australia!
There's a mob of about 80 that live on some spare land just down the road from my house and I pass them every day on the way to work.

Yeah I have seen a lot! That would probably be because I am australian =]. I have seen wild ones in national parks and camping grounds and ones in zoos that you can feed up close.

yes, and Wallabys, Wallaroos, Potaroos and other members of the marsupial subgroup called MACROPODS. The Kangaroo is only one member of this very extensive sub group. not to mention Quokkas, pouched rats and other obscure members.

I have seen them, fed them, petted them and my Aunt looked after abandon joeys. I see them all the time but that's what happens when you live in Australia. There are probably more kangas than there are people.

No...but I saw a wallaby once. He was in a bathroom. I went to use it and he came hopping out. Cute...but mean!
