I'd applaud the restaurant for taking cat meat and making a great dish out of it!
Also, I'd wonder what happened to the pelts. Did that fur end up in P Diddy's clothing line?

Shrug and just don't go there ever again.
I am pragmatic that way. I have eaten it, so what? It was meat. Just not a good thought but still... other cultures eat stuff we might find repulsive- but to them it is food.
If I were to travel to China I might actually try some dogs... some places sell them. And these are not dogs as in dogs roaming around the street but animals which are kept to be eaten. I am adventurous enough to try it.
Afterall, Indians probably find westerners repulsive that we eat cows!

I'm a very picky eater, but I like what I like. If I'd been enjoying it for years, I'd just keep eating it when I got the chance. I may sound crazy, or mean, but If you loved your chicken, you might feel funny about eating it, right?? Well, I do love cats, but I like what tastes good. There are different tastes in different places. I understand they eat spoiled cabbage some places, and I think it is bad even when fresh, GROSS! Well, it is just my opinion, but of course, if they are breaking the law, that is too bad. no more of that anyway, right??

If I liked their food before, that's not going to change my opinion. Folks need to get over their fears - just because it is not a common food in your little corner of the world, doesn't mean it isn't a delicacy somewhere else. Having lived in various places around the world, you come to find that other cultures have good, if seemingly unusual foods.
As long as there is no contamination or health issues, I see no problem.

LOL!! Have I got a story for you!! That actually did happen!
A place in Washington, DC was closed down for just that
reason. The health inspectors were concerned because
there were no longer cats in the neighbourhood. When they
went in they found them hanging in the kitchen waiting to
be used. Boy did I ever feel queasy!! It was years before I
was able to eat Chinese food. Even the thought now--YUCK!
Thanks for a good laugh!! I haven't thought about that in
years!!
I forgot about the rats. ewwwww!

Wow! I'd switch to broccoli beef which is a popular dish in our region. I've never seen chicken with broccoli on any restaurant menu..

I'd cry. Those poor cats. And then I most likely would just stop eating there. I understand that in some cultures they eat cats..but to me and in my culture we don't.
