its for my drug ed class, and when i think of tranquilizers i think of syringes i dont know if i spelled that right.... is that the same thing?

Tranquilizers can be given for many reasons but originally given to help people with a nervous condition to help them stay calm. It can be given in a number of forms. And it is usually addictive if taken for a period of time. Valium is just one of many and it is an older drug.

Tranquilizers come in pill or shot, I.V. medication. They are used to calm a person down. Some take them daily for many reason, depression, anxiety, loosing and love one. Someone who cannot cope with there surrounding. And need something to help them stay calm. They are used in mental health people who are madic depression,.
But anyone can take them, they give them to you somethimes when you may have surgrey, are a medical procedure.
Basically they help keeping you calm. They should not be abused. But with medical attention and taking as providers has directed. It is ok to take them. They are given everyhour or minute to many people around the world.

tranquilizers are medications, most often given in pill form, and most often in the class of benzodiazipines. They are highly addictive, and should only be used under the direction and ongoing supervision of a doctor.
