Is she a Beatle fan? A party based on their music with "When I'm 64" as the main theme might be kind of cool. Now if you could get Paul McCartney to attend...

Hi, your mom would have been a teenager in the 1950's. How about a theme based around that? Or if she has fonder memories of the '60's etc. maybe something like that. Good luck and have fun.

Why don't you just do one of her life?
Get al the family together and temporareily donate all the family photo's (of her and important loved ones) such as husband or sons and daughter's, but try to keep the focus on her, you can go to wal-mart and use the digital photo booth that en-larges photos (they have to be reg. photos, they wont do professional ones) and do a "Story of her life"
We did this for my grandmom, and started it off in the beging, of her life, we tryed to find news articles (on the internet of course) from that time period and went from there, we also had each family member, (everyone, means everyone) write a "letter" and it could just be about how much she means in there lives or it could be a funny story of a memory they had shared with her, (like when her brother took her on her first camping trip) you can get craetive, and it will be something she will treasure for the rest of her life! She will get to have all the speacial keepsakes of letters pictures and whatever else you deside to come up with! Trust me it will be meorable,....
