I have been using a maragrine that I recently found out had something in it from boiling left over animal parts, but it isn't clear in the ingredients. I know that some things can be hidden on labels. What maragrine is okay to use if you want to avoid any animal products?

You have a lot of great answers and I don't have any more brands to offer than what's already there, but having different opinions is important when deciding about which foods to buy. I simply want to add that I did not like Smart Balance margarine and it left an unpleasant after taste. I did notice someone mentioned Blue Bonnet light and I had no idea that was vegan, that's what I was using while still a lacto vegetarian and imo I found it quite tasty. Before I became a veg*n I used real butter.

Earth Balance is 100% vegan and non-hydrogenated. And it's pretty darn good, too. I grew up on real butter and always hated the taste and mouthfeel of margarine, but my mom bought me some Earth Balance when I started contemplating going vegan. I cook and bake with it, but it even passes the "buttered toast" test in terms of taste. And it's not all oily feeling like margarine.

I use Earth Balance margarine. It has absolutely no animal products in it whatsoever. It also does not contain any GMOs. It works and tastes just like an animal-based margarine.
I found a huge tub of it for cheap at my local Costco.

There are plenty of SOYA based margarines, some labelled as vegan so they woudn't have any animal fats in them.

Veggie ones may have some dairy in them but certainly no "boiled animal parts"

Try Horizon or "Organic Valley". If you go to Whole Foods or Earth Fare you can buy margarine that steers clear of that.

Good luck!

Earth Balance I think. They dont carry that around here so I use smart balance, but it must be light, otherwise it isnt vegan.

The first time I had it.. it was weird, I was used to land of lakes, but after a while, you become very used to it.

Blue Bonnet Light. I went through and researched all the ingredients, plus it's on PETA's "I can't believe it's vegan!" list.
