does it ever annoy the hell out of you when people wont recycle????? it's so easy!! it couldnt be more simple and they just refuse to do it!! why? why wouldnt anyone want to make the world a slightly better place??? who agrees with me?

I know a lot of people who are confused and peed off regarding all the picky rules for recycling pickup. They don't understand why they have to "make their garbage pretty".
Confuses and pees me off at times, too! And I know a lot about the topic. I have had recycleables left at the curb for every reason from "the bag is too heavy (26 lb vs 25 lb limit ... he must have brought a scale!)" to "we collect paper if it is bundled and the length of twine used is no longer than 2 meters". Total BS, but they were working to rule, and that is written (buried) in the City By-Laws. I called my ward's member on city council and made the truck come all the way back to pick it up. I know I know, my bad for making the truck use that fuel to return.
Municipal governments and waste management companies are not getting the right information to people in a way they can understand it. The result:
Recycling is NOT as easy as you think.
But I still agree with you that people should recycle where facilities are available.

We live in a disposable society. Few want to make the effort to toss plastics in one container, glass in another, and aluminum cans in a third. It's just to inconvenient for a slothful, 'busy', lazy, uncaring world. If the government was doing it's job, recycling laws would be passed. But no one cares enough. We just continue to dirty up the world with all our trash. -RKO- 10/18/07

I do. Its like people just cant be bothered or don't know . I get annoyed when pensioners moan (all good at doing that) when they say "We don't understand what plastic bottles we can recycle" All they have to do is look on the bottle & if there is the signs HDPE or PET they can be recycle them

In the city of Chicago, it really isn't as easy as you make it out to be.
I live in the suburbs, where it's MUCH easier.
