Well, I have heard that vitamin C tends to do that. But only for a little while. Especially when you're very new to it. tomatos, oranges, acidity generally. Also the sun. But, also the power of the mind can be a great weapon against it.

I've never heard of carrots specifically being responsible for herpes outbreaks. I have had genital herpes for 6+ years and have never had an outbreak from eating carrots.
People have different "triggers" for outbreaks. Some people learn what triggers outbreaks for them and they learn to avoid those certain foods or activities that may trigger an outbreak for them. Stress is also a huge trigger for outbreaks. Some people are very good at controlling stressful situations and others aren't, which can cause them to get outbreaks more often than others.
I have found that hot tubs or jacuzzis cause me to have an outbreak. I literally have an outbreak the very next day after I've been in a jacuzzi. So, I don't go in them anymore! I've learned to avoid them so I won't get outbreaks. Other people with genital herpes have no problems with jacuzzis though!
EVERYONE is different and EVERYONE has different "triggers".

never heard of that. i know exposure to sunlight can cause outbreaks both oral and genital herpes.

That isn't true... carrots doesn't cause herpes.
