my boyfriend & I had sex without a condom, and he came inside me, but i'm on birth control...and ever since that day, my vagina has smelled horribly like fish, and it's grossing me out as well as my boyfriend....
also, i found out recently that i might possibly have chlamydia...i'm not sure if that has an affect on the smell or not though...but i'm getting tested for chlamydia tomorrow.
Is it true that maybe the sperm inside my vagina made it start smelling fishy?
help!

Wow...some of these answers are horrible.
A fishy smell could be a couple of things which can be anything from a simple infection to a STD.
A "fishy" smell, which is usually worse after sex, is a telltale sign of BV (bacterial vaginosis). BV is NOT a STD, but simply an imbalance of the "good" bacteria and the "bad" bacteria which are both naturally found in the vagina. BV is easily treated and cured with antibiotics. Metronidazole (brand name is Flagyl) is usually prescribed. BV is the MOST common infection in women of childbearing age.
Trichomoniasis, which IS a STD also has a very foul smell and can cause a frothy, yellow-green vaginal discharge.
Also, douching is VERY bad. Please do NOT do this. The normal acidity of the vagina keeps the amount of bacteria down and douching can change this delicate balance. This may make a woman more prone to vaginal infections. Plus, douching can spread existing vaginal infections up into the uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries.
Whatever it is, it sounds like you need to see the doctor and get it treated. A doctor can properly diagnose you and offer/provide treatment. Good luck to you!

It could make your pussy ph balance come down because...the *** will be inside and it will be infecting things and there is a infection called BV which usually is hard to eliminate and has alot to do with alot of discharge and fishy smell and you should prolly get checked the hell out to get some pills or some cream for youf vagina for this infection and if you just let it slide which I hope you don't the smell will get worse and worse through out youf sex life and you could try some feminine products that are made to get rid of vagina fishy odor and get vagisil wash that will help you vagina with alot of things

Well I'd wait to see if you do have chlamydia. How long ago was it that your boyfriend and you had unprotected sex? I suppose it COULD make the smell. Other than that. If it has been a while since you had unprotected sex, and you are clear of STDs talk to you gyno about it.

Do not douche. Get tested first and find out for sure what's causing the smell could very well be chlamydia.
