My hubby's birthday is on Halloween. Every year I make him a birthday cake with a halloween theme. I've done pumpkins, jack-o-lanterns, spider web, and grave yard cakes in the past. Looking for a great new idea. Suggestions?

I would say go with a Horror movie theme. Maybe Blair Witch, The ring, The Grudge, Phantom of the Opera (Artistic), Stephen King's IT (Clown Face!), Nightmare on Elm Street, Jason, Halloween! Instead of birthday music, pick a sound track of your themed cake to play! It'll be a birthday to SCREAM about!
Happy Halloween!:0)

frost it light gray and wrap it in pale blue cotton candy. This will creat a mist effect. Then top with a clear ornament for a crystal ball and you can dress as the fortune teller as you tell him he will have a very Happy Birthday.
Make the whole party a fortune telling theme and have everyone tell his " fortune " in birthday wishes.

I saw a cute recipe for a frankenstein cake in either Taste of Home cooking magazine or a Pilsbury cooking magazine for Halloween.

You could do The Addams Family--you be Morticia and he be Gomez...and if you have kids...they could be on their too.

OR Frankenstein

OR Witches

OR surprise him and get him a real b-day cake with traditional b-day decor, I am sure he is expecting the usual Halloween cake.

You could try to find a cake pan in the shape of a ghost, and then do the icing decorations. Or find a cake pan in the shape of anything haloween!

Or you could make a regular cake, and put haloween pictures all over it with frosting.

You should find out what his favorite halloween movie is and use that as a theme!
