I'm fourteen as well, but I've been wise enough never to smoke or do drugs as this usually leads to addiction, which I'm guessing you now have.

It's heard to break an addiction, but it takes willpower and possibly the help of close friends. You could also try the over-the-counter products made especially for smoking.

Whatever the case, just be strong, perhaps tell someone you love and ask for help and don't sit around and tell yourself you'll never stop. You WILL.

Good luck!

Nicotine is the worst addiction to break. Its harder to get off of than heroin. But it is possible. And it will be alot easier for you to quit at 14 with no job, no kids, and no responsibilities, than when you are at any adult age.
Please try to quit now. Its not cool. It doesn't help with stress. Its not a healthy way to lose weight. It will give you cancer.
I started smoking at age 15 and just quit at age 28. It was very difficult, and it was my fifth try at quitting since I was age 18. Its been 5 months since I haven't smoked, and I will never go back.

POWERLESS!

It is extremely difficult for your body to stop using a drug you are addicted to. I have never met anyone who regrets NOT picking up the habit of smoking. Instead I have only met people who wish they never started.

The sooner you try and quit the better your chances are of doing so. People don't realize the addiction causes many more problems then COPD, chronic bronchitis, and lung cancer. It takes decades for these illnesses to reck their deadly havoc on the body. What does happen rather quickly is the associated behaviors, like your body's inability to lose weight once you quit sm

Cigarettes are the only product on the market that if used as intended by the manufacture, will result in death.

If you want to kill yourself, then keep smoking.

Just for those of you who say "what about alcohol?" Alcohol in small amounts each day is actually good for you. Cigarettes are never good for you.

You'll feel like you need another cigarette. You probably can quit cold turkey.
Smoking seems okay for you now, I'm sure. When you are older, people will not want to be around you because you will stink even if they like you. The expense is going up because the government uses it as a "sin" tax.

Also, do you want to have wrinkles around your mouth like Laura Bush?

This question really doen't make sense. Smoking is gross and not only does it give you cancer but it makes you look old by giving you premature wrinkles and yellow teeth. So, if you want to quit and can't you should talk to a trusted adult about it. Try you parents, if they can't help the school councelor will.
