I am a vegeterian. I want to be a vegan, but I don't know if I can follow through with it, and I don't think anyone would be supportive. What do you suggest?

well im a vegan too. whenever i want milk or cheese, i just think about where it came from and how they treat the animals. thats the way i fllow through with it. and if people arent supportive of it, just be like; i would really like you to be more supportive of this. and also, tell them about how they treat the animals to get their milk and stuff and then they will understand why you made this choice.

Look I am not a vegetarian, but I say that you should eat what you want to eat.

If your diet provides you with the daily recommended vitamins and minerals then who can say that what you are doing is wrong?

Don't worry what others say about your choices, that is NOT their job.

Just make sure you eat a balanced amount of what your body needs and you will do fine. (if other people can't support you then you don't need them around)

I support you in your decision and I'm sure lots of others do too.
here are a few links that you might find useful.

Good luck and enjoy.

Try it.. its not like you want to be an astronaut or a stunt pilot or something with a lot of risk.. the worst case is you will find you don't like it and become an omnivore again.

Whatever happens.. hopefully you are doing it because YOU want to..not because others are supportive or not. A year from now you will be eating tofu or a burger.. but you wont find out until you try.

If its important to you, you will stick with it. educate yourself on where dairy comes from adn how the animals are treated. thats all you need to keep your commitment. check out the group Farm Sanctuary on the web.
the first 2 wks are hardest being vegan, but then you get into the swing of things and it becomes SO much easier.

Milking cows doesn't hurt them. If you don't milk them their utters hurt, so it's actually better to milk them. Therefore, milk and cheese aren't bad to eat. If you don't like them then go vegan. If you just care about animals and that's why you wanted to be vegan, then it's not actually necessary. Vegetarianism is good.

You don't need support. It's nice, but not necessary. If you want something bad enough, you'll do it; and you'll do it for yourself (or the animals in this case.) Good luck.

It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks... if you want it, that is all that really matters right? to each his own. If you want it, go for it.
