Do the wrong thing for the right cause if you do the right for the wrong; it is gonna haunt you in the future and you'll probably end up giving up on yourself. Doing the wrong will make you feel a whole like better if it was for a good reason!!! Shoot like cashing a flake check at a bank only to get the dividends and leave bank with a slow hot trail. Of course it wouldn't be flaming hot cause you didn't rob the bank but you did the right thing. Or breaking someone's car window whomever broke yours. Shoot you ain't just going to sit back and fold your hands are you?? If you let a wrong go by and you not correct it; it will always seem it will always be your fault cause you didn't do nothing about it but... just kept the peace so to speak. To heck wit dat because its the big payback. Revenge is a sweet as you can imagine best believe.

Right thing. Doesn't matter for what reason. Doing the wrong thing is wrong - even if it happens to turn out OK.

NEITHER - You must do the right thing for the right reason.
If you do the wrong thing there are cpnsequences (you will pay a higher price in some way)
As you get older you figure out that honesty is best and most of all to be honest with who you really are - the rest is easy!!

So, you're asking if it's better to NOT rob the bank because you're afraid you'll get caught
rather than
rob the bank because it cheats its customers with high interest rates, late penalties and obscene service fees???If you do the right thing, how can there be a wrong reason for doing it??

You should've been more specific, but generally it is better to do the right thing, no matter what the reason is or what you feel the reason or outcome might be.

No, the only thing that makes sense is to do the right thing for the right reason and forget about that other pointless nonsense.
If you are not sure which is which don't do either until you are sure.
Go deeper.

Better to do the right thing for the wrong reason .
it is the result that counts ,
If the right thing has been done who cares what the reasons are .
Take Al Gore for example many people say he did what he did for political reasons or maybe even to get richer ,who cares ,he has made 2 billion people aware of an important issue and brought them together ,that is what counts ,not his reasons for doing it
To do the wrong things but your motives are right ,even holy ---sucks ,
history is full of examples
and judging by all the previous answers i think we are in for a lot of trouble and it explains why we have had so much ,you people are all crazy, and you all sound like religious zealots.
i am glad none of you are my friends.

Wrong thing for a right reason! Then you will be doing something good, so it cannot really be wrong as its right, although you are carrying out a wrong act, but it leads to a right reason, making the wrong act right! Have i confused you yet?!!!! :)

The motive is probably more important than the action taken, so I'd say it's better to do the wrong thing for the right reason. It says more about you as a person - and we should all be allowed to make mistakes. (I've made plenty in my time.)

Right and wrong are just perceptions that society & you choose to put on events so change from person to person & over time.
Just do the best you can to make life better for everyone and the only ones who will suffer are those not ready to learn.
Just be yourself & beHappy
