You should start feeling better soon (within a few days) and be well on the way to recovery within a week to 10 days.

Clarithromycin is an excellent antibiotic fo "walking" pneumonia Along with the steroids, you should start feeling better each day Ask your doctor if you can take a nonsteroidal for the aches and pains

Good luck!

If you had pneumonia or even broncitis, it depends on how healthy you are, I think, for full recovery time. Some of these bad infections actually take a month or more to regain your strength and feel completly healthy again. I know, I have been thru it and actually still had the bad cough 6 weeks later and still feeling weak. If you are ill with any kind of lung disease, or chronic illness, your recovery time will probably be lengthned.

PS My friend had been asthmatic for 30 years using inhalers every day of her life. Unable to walk any distance she slept propped almost horizontal at night in order to sleep. She took this for something completely different (which I won't go into here) and now no longer uses inhalers and has a quality of life she could only dream of in the past. It's worth a try
