Call your doctor's office tomorrow (today ?), and ask about increasing your dosage.
I take 50 mg, but if my blood pressure gets too low, I cut it back to 25mg or in between, 37 mg (3/4 of a tablet).
Also, dehydration can make a difference, and I think you are supposed to take it with food.
I also am on Vytorin. If I forget and take them together, or at a close hour, then the Metoprolol is ineffective and I get a high heart rate and can't sleep.

Hi Shanna, I feel Ginger Lynn gets bigger if you happen to do just because the vet mentioned to do. If he mentioned to not quit on her, DON'T! He has treated the identical factor in different puppies and is aware of what he's doing. She did not simply turn out to be ill. It's simply that her sickness simply grew to be obvious. Dogs are well at hiding their illnesses. Be exact to provide her her meds on a steady agenda. I have already prayed for each you and your youngster. Janis

It may take a while, has the cause of your Afib been identified? But if you have long episodes of these palpitations, especially if you feel dizzy or faint, go to the ER asap. Have you been started on Coumadin? take care...

it takes a while to build a level in the blood and body, but I wouldn't wait more than ten days to see the doctor again if the rapid pulse continues.

20mg is a pretty small dose...
I'd see your doctor again. I hope you're on Warfarin at the moment!
