Someone I know might have a brain clot. She doesn't have the money for a CAT scan. I know they can cause heart attacks and strokes, so do those actually kill you? And if brain clots kill you, how long does it take?
Sorry.. Excuse my ignorance to the facts of health issues.

A brain clot is typically the causing factor of a stroke, and you don't just have a clot in your brain without some sort of effect.. It is possible to have a small clot outside your brain, but within the membrane that may put pressure on the brain, but not have disastrous consequences.. This is such a weird question, what makes you think this individual has a brain clot?

Some people are more likely to have their blood clot spontaneously than others, and this is due to a variety of genetic and environmental factors. What happens when a clot goes to the brain is the blood flow is cut off to a certain area of the brain served by the blocked blood vessel. Without blood flow the tissue dies, so after a certain window of time it is not worth the risk to operate. If the clot blocks flow to an area of the brain that is responsible for a vital function like breathing, the person can die. If the clot blocks flow to an area that isn't so vital, the patient may not have any signs of having clots. There are some areas of the brain that are redundant in their function, meaning they do exactly the same thing as another part of the brain - kind of like a back-up system. So if you lose function in one area, you still have a back-up to pick up the slack and no one can tell the difference.

Blood clots in the brain can do many things. It depends on the size of the clot and the area it is in. A blood clot causing a blockage to a major area is what a stroke is. Small clots can cause difficulty in speech, hearing, sight, judgement, motion or ability to walk, many different symptoms.
Can she borrow the money or go to a county hospital? What makes you and her think it is a brain clot causing her problems? And most importantly, why do you want to know how long it takes to die from one???

Yes they can kill you. But you can't anticipate it happening. How can your friend think she has a brain clot yet can't go to the ER to find out?

This is not something to mess around with, so find a county hospital and go there to be treated without insurance coverage.

Clots, can kill, cause heart attacks, stroke...but you can't self diagnose.

My grandfather died from this. An aneyrism actually. Which I'm pretty sure is just a blood clot in the brain that bursts. It basically killed him instantly as soom as it burst. I apologize if this information isn't accurate. I'm just remembering what my mom told me, since I never met him. You really need to try to get your friend to a free hospital somewhere.

Hi... I know a person who says he has clot in his blood and the clot reached 92% .He says, he is in his final stages and counting his days. The treatment is to take an injection (size of the injection is the one that is given to animals ) and it has to be imported from Singapore / Africa /Indonesia.. And that injection costs around 15 lakhs.
Is there any treatment like this and does it costs this much? I want to know whether he is really suffering from it ? or its just a fake thing for the sake of money ? Can u please help me in figuring it out .

Thanks in Advance!
