Just concentrate on where the rope is hanging from. you will need some upper body strength, but honestly, i think anyone can do anything they set there mind to. also, try to get adreneline flowing. just keep at it and dont give up!

what one person can do, another can do.

good luck!

At the bottom, lift one leg, and wrap the rope around it so that it lays across the top of that foot. Reach high up the rope, hang on, and use the other foot to step on the rope on top of your foot.

Straighten out the bent leg, and reach higher again and hang on.

Lift the first leg, and let the rope slide across it and down below you. Clamp it in place again with the other foot.

By doing this, you can climb a rope about 6 inches or a foot at a time.

It helps to have someone at the bottom to hold the rope to keep it from flopping around.

Below are 2 other ways to try.

Good luck!

Hey!

In terms to technique, you basically clip the rope between your knees and ankles, grab the rope with your hands and then work your way up like a worm: clip the rope with your legs, then slide your hands up; hold the rope with your hands and slide your legs up, etc.

A leg trick is to use your feet to create a little cradle of the rope, so that you're kind of standing on the top of the rope with one foot, while supporting the rope (and your foot) from the bottom by your other foot.

Keep your eyes up and looking at your goal; don't look down.

Most of the time, people don't make to the top because of poor technique, but because they get scared. Their muscles also tighten up and then get tired.

In that case practice just "hanging" on the rope and getting used to the feeling so that you can "relax", while you climb. If you can do that there's no physical reason why you can't get to the top. Remember to keep your eyes up, on the goal.

Good luck.
