Yeah, it's just small, bite size stuff. Like tapas or dim sum. I prefer it, then you can taste a bit of everything and if something is gross, you're not wasting the whole plate.

yes, it's an appetizer platter. Some of the delicacies vary from restaurant to restaurant (usually they will list the items as part of the description, and then you can probably look elsewhere on the menu to get a full description of each of the items listed)
Sometimes, they bring the whole thing out on this big tray with a flame in the middle and at least some of the items on skewers so you can roast/reheat ? them in the flame, but it's mostly for show.
My kids used to crack up every time we ordered it because of the toilet humor aspect. I guess when that platter was first named Asians didn't realize that pu pu sounds like poo poo, or maybe that slang usage evolved later (otherwise why would A.A. Milne name his character Winnie the Pooh?)

General appetizers. It varies from restaurant to restaurant, but at my restaurant here in Delware, it comes with 2 spare ribs, 2 beef sticks, 2 fried jumbo shrimp, 2 pc. shrimp toast, 2 fried wontons, 2 egg rolls and 2 chicken wings.
Stuff like that. Almost always fried.

Ask the restuarant that you'll be ordering from what THEY put on there. That way, you'll know for certain.
