a friend of mine belives they have genital warts, they are afraid to go to a doctor, what should I tell them to do? They dont want to go cause they think that it costs alot of money to get rid of them is that true? and how do i get them to go to the doctor?

Genital warts is a contagious condition acquired through sexual contact. Therefore, it can also be given to others. Only by having these removed by a dr. can this condition be resolved. Safe sexual practices are essential. Not having treatment has its own cost. Do you wish to infect all your friends with a preventable STD? Do you want to live with an STD?

Even if the person have the warts removed. It still doesn't cure HPV infections, and the warts may recur. But I recommend that you friend see his/her doctor for treatment.
