I am almost 25 weeks pregnant but, for a couple of days I have been having spasms. they are in the center of my chest but, above my breast. I am not sure if it is heart realated. I went to the er a couple of weeks ago with severe acid reflux. ( that I had no idea was that) they did ekg, and cardiac triage. Everything with all blood work is fine. Could these spasms be heart realated. I get aniexty also, or could it be realated to the acid reflux and maybe esphagoal spasms. ??

First, is this your first child? EKG is the gold standard at eliminating heart problems. You are young, there is no reason for you to have heart abnormalities besides any congenital defects which would have been found long ago.

The upward force the baby (even though gravity pulls the other way) exerts on the diaphragm may cause some discomfort, especially during periods of stress.

You might be relaxed, but your body is under an incredible amount of physical stress due to the growth of the child. I'm not an OB/GYN, shrink, or GI doc so this is as far as I could help. Hopefully, the having the baby will ease this discomfort. If not, see a GI specialist for an endoscopy.

Place couple bricks or thick books under the legs at the head of the bed, will keep head elevated. If its reflux this will help. No one is to young to have heart problems. Your Dr. can give you a prescrption for reflux if he feels its safe for the baby.
Good luck.
