I have made sangria before, but I would like to throw in some canned fruit, peaches and mandarin oranges, just because I have them, instead of having to buy some fresh fruit. I also have canned fruit cocktail. I plan on draining all of it before putting it in. Or should I add the syrup too? I will also be using fresh oranges, limes and lemons. Any tips are appreciated!

I think it would be perfectly fine to throw in any kind of fruit you have. I can give you a copy cat recipe for the Olive Garden Sangria. It make 1 gallon.
1 1/2 liters of red table wine ( Lambrusco )
1 cup grenadine
1 cups cranberry juice cocktail
1 1/4 cups sweet Vermouth
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
Strawberry and orange slices
crushed ice.
Mix all ingredients and refrigerate 4-5 hrs./ or overnight.

Gallo® Family Vineyard Twin Valley® Moscato is nice and sweet if you mix tart fruits into the sangria its delicious try lime, kiwis, strawberries, and green apple slices. I really like to mix with a little champagne but 7up is much more cost efficient along with a few shots of your favorite tequila yummy I think I'll make some myself thank you very much! Well remember to play nice! =o) and feel free to email me if you have any further questions.
