Niquitin CQ Patches, a lot of willpower and the doctor telling me that I might have to lose a leg after 40 years of smoking.
Been off them 2 1/2 years now.
Good luck

Going cold turkey. Looking at the benefits, more money, better quality of life, don't smell like a stale ashtray. Not being anti-social and not having to stand outside in the rain and horrible weather.

nicorette inhalers are really good but these cost a lot! theyre just pure nicotine, so its just like smoking a real tab but without all the harmful substances. if you go to your local stop smoking clinic you can get them for free if you are on benefits etc, otherwise they cost around £20! get a younger teenager to go instead and they can give them to you lol. i would not advise buying them as i didnt like the taste and stopped using them. i went cold turkey instead....then began smoking again a year and a half later :-|

It's a very dificult thing to do. You really need to want to give up to be successful. There are many things you can buy to help but ultimately it is will power you need. Also, most cigarettes (or whatever you smoke) are ritual so try changing your routine. For instance, if you have a smoke when you walk the dog, take a different route when walking the dog.
