Those people often call themselves pesco-vegetarians but in reality they are not vegetarians at all.Just more selective omnivores.

Vegetarians dont eat fish. it is not "puritan" to complain when people who eat fish say they are veggie.
Its not fair on the people who DO follow the correct vegetarian diet and are consistently served food with fish in by mistaken friends/relatives/resteraunts and have to pointlessly argue what is correct.

Vegetarians do not eat fish. Anyone who eats flesh, whether meat or fish, is not vegetarian.

Who really cares anyway, eat what you like, why does a diet need a label.

There's carnivore, omnivore and vegetarian. The combination or preference is irrelevant.

Those people aren't really vegetarians. Fish are animals, NOT plants and vegetarians don't eat animals. Same goes for those vegetarians who "only eat chicken"...not really vegetarians.

There was a myth circulating that fish don't feel in the same way that animals do and therefore could not suffer.

I think a 'vegetarian' who eats fish is called a pescatarian. I certainly wouldn't consider someone who eats fish to be vegetarian.

They are still strictly omnivores . The correct name for them is pescavore. A lot of them seem to think they are vegetarians but the vegetarian society does not define them as such.

Those people aren't really vegetarians; they just say they are. I don't care if somebody eats fish or not; it only annoys me when they call themselves "vegetarian."

Then they wouldn't be considered a vegetarian.

Vegetarian-a person who does not eat or does not believe in eating meat, fish, fowl, or, in some cases, any food derived from animals, as eggs or cheese, but subsists on vegetables, fruits, nuts, grain, etc.
