First and foremost, God does not have a mother or a father.
He always ways here. Secondly, Mary was only a vessel by which the Christ was to be born through. Thirdly, there was no intercourse involved, no sex. God's power came upon Mary and fertilized her. The reason for a virgin is that God is holy and nothing filthy will suffice Him. He couldn't come through a whore. And, the reason for the miracle birth or conception is that, sin lives in or is transferred through the seed (semen) of the man. That's why Joseph could not father Jesus. Because Sin lives in the semen of Joseph and Jesus would have been born a sinner just like the rest of us. Find a good church and pray and ask Jesus to give you understanding of His word. There are somethings in the bible, as a believer we have to just accept as truth, it is of faith that we are justified, not of what we see and believe. It takes no faith to believe something you can already see or you can already understand.

I agree, but ten bucks says this gets reported.
Some factions believe Jesus was God, some that he was only the Son. Many of the passages which equate the Father with the Son are present in the latest copies of the Bible (we don't have the originals, but copies of copies of copies...), but not the earliest. Meaning that scribes inserted the text at some point during their centuries of transcription. (I recently read "Misquoting Jesus" by an objective biblical scholar, who detailed these and other inconsistencies.) There are also debates among the factions of what point in his life Jesus actually became the Christ. Mormons, incidentally, believe God assumed physical form during impregnation.
It all depends on how much critical thought you put to it, however. If you don't look for inconsistencies, you don't find any.
Looks like I owe someone ten bucks.

honestly you missed the whole concept... getting one thing out of the way first, I am no longer a Christian either.
ok... #1 the trinity is made up of three beings: the Father, the Son, the Holy Ghost. These beings are separate but eternally exist in one essence. the Holy Ghost impregnated Mary but not sexual... supernaturally.
#2 Sex is not something we've made it out to be. Sure it was meant to be pleasurable, but it WASN'T meant to be the essence of love. Intercourse wasn't just for the lust of the flesh. It was more about fertilization. Well, that's the idea I had about the whole thing.

Well first of all it doesn't say impregnated.
The bible calls what is in Mary's womb a thing.
Luke 1:35
And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
The Holy Ghost overshadowed her not had sex with her.
Jesus was not born of Mary. Jesus entered a body of flesh.
God lived with us and God is the beginning and the ending so God has no birthday (so much for Christmas).
If you really study the bible you will find that Jesus exited Mary on about Sept 15th. (oops there goes Xmas again)
go to jamesknox.com and get his message the day of the advent. proves thru scripture the date of the things birth that Jesus indwelled.
You believe you God had a beginning? Mine is everlasting to everlasting.
So to all those who worship Mary. She gave birth to a container that God used.

A woman now days can get pregnant without a man. So why in the world would God not be able to impregnate a woman without a man? After all look at some of the other miracles God has accomplished.

as you can see from other Christains have wrote, Mary wasn't inpregnated sexually, it was never a sexual thing. this is where Faith comes in, God wants us to have Faith in Him, in His word, if you don't then simpley, you go to Hell. the greastest things in life require you to have faith in them in order for them to exsist, such as hope, love and Christ.(in your life) The more you study your bible the more these questions will be answered, and you will have a greater understanding. God is all mighty, he can do anything, and when you accept Him in your life you can witness His miricles for yourself. even as a nonchristian you witness his miricles but bloww off the credit to somewhere unknown. how about life as you know it, conception, look around you, things that knowone can explain, but Christ. if you want your questions answered, then read your Bible, proof that he exsist is all around you, you just need your eyes opened. ask Him to help you understand and He will, you just have to open your heart and mind to His answer.

Beats me. I have asked a similar question of many of my Catholic education teachers as I was growing up. It's amazing that we are asked to believe in something that fundamentally goes against the Christians teachings. It's hilariously like incest in reverse, sort of.
