Dear Alter Ego,

I definitely believe that the Holy Spirit is a PERSON.
I definitely belive that the Holy Spirit can be in more than 1 place at a time.

Catherine Marshall's book, The Helper, helped me to understand by pulling together all of the related Scripture.

For His glory,
JOYfilled

If you believe that God is a person, do you believe that he can be in more than one place at a time?

The Bible says that God is a Spirit even though he is personified in scripture. That's why he can be everywhere at all times and know everything. Guess what Spirit he is? Why - the Holy Spirit! Bingo! You've got it!

The term "person" does not adequately describe the 3 members of the trinity. It's just the best human equivalent we can give to accomodate our understanding of God. The Holy Spirit can impinge his presence into the creation wherever and whenever He wants to and is not subject to the boudary of the fourth dimension of time or the other 3 spacial dimensions that we as physical beings are aware of and limited by.

Psalms 139:7 Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence? 8 If I ascend to heaven, you are there! If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there! 9 If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, 10 even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me.

I DON"T believe the Holy "SPIRIT" is a person. It's a spirit, and if your lucky you will be indwelled with it. There are thousands if not millions of people indwelled with the Holy Spirit, so yes it can be everywhere at the same time.GOD BLESS!!

Whenever the Holy Spirit is mentioned in the Bible, it is always as HE - never an IT. The Holy Spirit, Christ Jesus and God Almighty are separate and distinct, yet part of the triune Godhead. The purpose of the Holy Spirit is to convict us of sin and lead us to Christ Jesus.

The Holy Spirit was active in creation, was active during the life and death of Christ Jesus, was active at Pentecost and is still active now. And yes, the Holy Spirit (like God Almighty) is everywhere. I pray he is at work in your life to show you who Christ Jesus truly is - your Lord and Saviour.

your question is incomplete. the holy spirit isonly one part in the Holy Trinity. The holy spirit, God the father, and Jesus. The holy spirit is omnipotent, meaning he can exist in all places at all times. Jesus was a man but God incarnate. Obviously Jesus couldnt be everywhere at anygiven time, he had the same rule of physics we all have as humans. He had the strongest faith that allowed him to do what we consider God like. If you only believe, then God will grant you the will to do anything as long as it is Gods will to do so.

When you become a believer, the Holy Spirit lives within your heart. HE is not a person. HE is the very wisdom of GOD.

An unbeliever might call it your conscience.

Yes, He is a person, but His form is Spirit, and He is God so He can be everywhere.
