No, no & no.

First question why pray if you don't believe God exists and can answer? I have a dear scientific friend in his 80s that's a nilist. He doesn't & never has believed in God in any way shape or form. His whole life & career has been centered around science. Yet when he was going in for a critical surgery he asked for prayer. I still wonder why. Especially since he's tried to convince me for years faith there is no God in control.

As for the second who can say God didn't? We waited until it was almost too late to enter WW II & win. Even then it took so many millions more deaths, destruction & luck (God's grace) to do it. Chamberlain, DeGualle, etc. thought peaceful negotiations would appease Hitler. Instead he became more powerful. Churchill had thought otherwise & was voted out. All thought they were doing God's will. Here we have a majority thinking peace is the answer. History now tells us otherwise. So let history be the judge. We're there now regardless.

As for being enough to remove him from office that's crazier still. If everyone I and/or others thought was crazy for their political actions was removed on that basis we'd never get anything done because no one would be in office long & any nation could take us over in the confusion.

I believe he should take responsibility for his actions whether he believed God was leading him or not. But simply because he believes God was telling him isn't a good enough excuse. Would you feel better if he said Cheney or the oil companies told him? I'm pretty sure that's what you believe. If he confirmed it then you could feel more justified in judging him. I've seen people just as misguided (and more so) by others.

In either case we all have a day of reckoning if God is real. Even those who claimed to speak in His name. If God doesn't exist then it won't matter. If we're going to impeach him are the ones who originally agreed (like Kerry) just as crazy for believing him & shouldn't they be impeached too?

We had the same here in the UK with Tony Blair. God obviously told him to get out of office.

The Free Exercise Clause of the First Amendment gives citizens the right to religious expression without censure by government. Thus, the President can believe whatever he wants and there is nothing you can do about it.

I'm sure some Christians will say this doesn't worry them. Funny how they would react differently if one of our enemies made the same claim. If one of our enemies talks to God, that's crazy. If Bush does it, he's a fine Christian.

It wouldn't worry me if I thought that Bush had Faith in God, as I talk to Him too and he has been giving me guidance whenever I needed it. So the question is... Does Bush have Faith in God? I am afraid only he can answer for himself on that one.

It's a shame that all of our national leaders don't take time out to talk to God every day. If they did this nation might regain some of the blessings it has known in the past.
