I'm wondering how you deal with it and what medications you are on if any. I'm on Effexor, Abilify and Klonopin and I find it works well for me. I'm curious about your thoughts on this disorder.

Hello. I have had 2 nervous breakdowns in the past five years, once in '02 and once this year. I was finally diagnosed in March w/ schizoaffective disorder bipolar type by my psychiatrist who has known me since '02. It took him a while to decide or choose this diagnosis based on my symptoms I guess.
Starting in '02 I was diagnosed with psychosis in the hospital, schizophreniform disorder and major depression by my dr., and then this year with schizophrenia in the hospital, but my dr. says I do not have schizophrenia but schizoaffective bipolar type.
Honestly I am not sure exactly why he decided this diagnosis versus others. I guess it describes a combo of symptoms of schizophrenia & mood disorder.
I take Invega (antipsych.), Effexor (antidepr.), and Lamictal (mood stabilizer.)
It is so hard to find other people with this disorder I know there are many, but I guess not many who participate online. I started a blog to describe my disorder and express my thoughts.
I feel I have a really severe case, whereas I feel other people have milder cases. It seems to be a sort of illness that can cover a range of experiences. I have very few thoughts and often feel blank inside. I hope to recover my ability to make conversation. What about your symptoms?

the actuality which you have a scarcity of hallucinations makes it not likely, yet not impossible, which you're tormented by Schizoaffective illness or from Schizophrenia. undergo in ideas that paranoia and delusions are additionally indications of alternative subject concerns alongside with Bipolar I illness and Depressive illness with Psychotic advantageous factors. it extremely is ultimate to be evaluated via a expert as self-diagnosis is ineffective and doubtlessly risky. sturdy luck.
