good observation.... i agree with you on the subject. although it is their right to answer such questions, it is my understanding that the whole point of this Yahoo Answers situation is to help people find answers to their questions. i do not see the point in someone answering a christian type question with a completely non-christian answer unless the question is more or less to start a one sided debate......... for some reason it seems that if you ask a christian question you will be railed upon and/or called such things as a bigot (seen in some recent answers) or worse. so the question becomes: if the point of the question is to get a christian answer to a christian question without starting debate and the whole point of this site is people helping people.... how is it that they think they are helping? it really seems as if they are no help at all then....... good question though.
lets see how many thumbs down i can rack up from all those who do not like this answer....

I dunno, why do Christians always feel the need to answer anything that seems vaguely non-Christian?
But why do I, personally, answer?
I wouldn't say a word if you said "I have faith," and that's all it was. But that's rarely what these questions are. They mostly mean, "we want you and yours to have our faith and live the way we do." To which I say "no."
Is it because I know God lives and deny his power? Well... no. Not so much. I've tried all kinds of religion - I even once, when I was about 12, truly accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior and accepted God into my Heart. Nothing, it turned out, was any different. I never felt a thing. I mean NOTHING. No doubt you'll tell me that I never truly blah blah blah with the accepting and the blah blah. I accepted, man. I was READY. I wanted it so bad. I put everything in my heart into it, and I got back? Silence. Silence within and without me.
Am I scared that I'll miss out on something important? I probably will, but it has zero to do with god, it's because I can't be with my son every minute of the day.

Dear Doctor,.....Questions can not be christian,or hindu or muslim,..99%. questions are just itchings of mind, only 1% is real..Secondly Jesus was not a christian, nither Ram was hindu, nor Mohamod was a muslim...After death of these enlighted persons, people made these sects, and they are all dead..and their followers are also dead...A real christian as per Jisus is a totaly differant person....You can not produce, prist, pope or chritians by qulifying them in Vetican,Like wise a son of hindu prist can not be real hindu or a Mulla-Mollavi are not a real muslims...To be christian, hindu or momedans are not missing any importance..So christians & nonchristeans both are fool n nothing to do with religion...,they are just, born n brought in christian family that is why they are christians,if they would have change in hospital,n brought up by hindu family, they would be hindu...God or its power are totally differant things, and they can not be of any religions..

I myself don't answer questions that are EXPLICITLY addressed to Christians. However, if somebody asks nothing more than "What's your favorite Bible quote" (and believe me I have mine), it's fair game.
Oh by the way: I see Christians who always answer questions addressed to Wiccans or Pagans. So I can play the same game with you. "Can't they just find something else? Or is it because they know the power of the Goddess is alive and they are denying her powers? Or are they scared they'll miss out [on] something important?"

C- some Atheists ( most ) have been Christian in the past and know more about Christianity than many Christians

I was experiencing some pain, soreness and difficulty walking, today. When I got home and was undressing for bed, I discovered a peach pit had somehow gotten lodged in my briefs? As a Christian, do you have ideas on how this could have happened and how it might be prevented from happening in the future?

Just because I don't subscribe to your religion doesn't mean I don't know anything about it. I lived as a Christian until I was 16 years old. Went to church and everything.
