WHOS THERE
Three people were trying to get into heaven.
Peter asked the first, "Who's there?"
"It's me, Albert Jones," the voice replied. St. Peter let him in.
Then St. Peter asked the second one the second same question, "Who's there?"
"It's me, Charlie Jones." And St. Peter let him in.
Finally he turns to the third, asking the same question, "Who's there?"
"It is I, Verla Chapman," answered the third.
"Oh, great," muttered St. Peter. "Another one of those English teachers."

I like your joke on St.Peter and I have one of my own in a rejoinder:
Three thieves(John,Tiny and Fixer) arrive at Heaven's Pearly Gates and find St.Peter waiting to usher in the new arrivals And ofcourse turn away those destined for Hell.A conversation ensues as follows:
St Peter:Welcome to Heaven, can I have your names please.(the three arrivals shout out their names;St.Peter checks and is unable to find the names of the three in the register)
St.Peter:None of your names appear in this register Pse.go to the Hades.
John:My name must be there,check again,Sir
Tiny:Mine too,Me being a choir boy and all,Sir
Fixer:Sir,all my life I have followed the religious teachings
St.Peter: O.K. Let me go check in the waitng list register, I'll be back in a flash.
(St. Peter goes to the records room and searches for their names but to no avail so he decides to go inform the three,However upon his return to the entrance He finds the three have since disappeared But SO HAVE THE GOLDEN PEARLY GATES).This is true and is documented in the pokreefa.
