I am of Native American blood, on my mother's side, however dislike the term "Indian" as I am not from India and it is meant to be a derogatory word for native or indigenous people. I myself feel angered by the thought of what happened to my ancestors although I know that what the invaders gave out they will get back along with those who still continue to oppress Native Americans today. It depends on whether you are Christian, I am not but feel not anger towards the Christian God, it was the people that invaded not God. I worship The Gods and believe that all wrongs will be made right it is only a matter of time.

There is no culture or "people" that is intact. Every group of people has at some time played the conqueror and victim of other groups. That is the nature of humanity.
We may not all have it in clearly recorded history, but that is how it is.
I am not saying this in any way to downplay any righteous anger or resentment you feel. I am not sure why you feel the need to forgive this God if you feel he was/is responsible for such atrocities.
However, forgiveness can help the angry person as well.
To recognize that what happened to your ancestors, as awful as it was, is the human condition, may help. To know that it was not merely your people singled out from all of humanity for such destruction. It has happened, is happening today and will continue to happen all over the world as long as people exist.
Anyway, that line of reasoning/understanding has helped me deal with a great deal of my anger, resentment, etc and get on with life.
Everything that has ever happened results in how things are today, everything good/bad and otherwise. I must take the good with the bad, and the bad with the good. They cannot be teased apart.

It didn't happen because the creator of the universe deemed it so. It happened because Western culture vales individual achievement, property, and social status. Manifest destiny tried to mix God in with this. It was (and is) a form of thought control that presumes that someone of a higher status than us knows God's plan. Just listen to the president saying "God is on our side" and you will see it is still happening. Its funny how "God's plan" always coincides with the fattening of someone's wallet.
The Natives were more socially advanced. They were able to thrive for hundreds of years without the concept of property or socioeconomic status. Our own government was meant to be founded on the principals of the 5 nations...but we don't learn that in school now do we?
The natives were slaughtered because they lacked technology and lacked greed, not because of "God's plan".
We are tools because we are constantly trying to prove that we are better than one another. Here's a gold star...don't you feel better now? lol.

Don't forgive God, just stop believing in Him.
To the guy who said Native Americans were victims of European disease: Okay, but they've found evidence that the Army deliberately sent blankets taken from smallpox infirmaries to Native Americans. They knew full well that this would spread the disease. The eradication of Native Americans was nothing less than planned genocide.

God has nothing to do with it.Humans are the killers ,not God. If Christians are to blame for destroying your people then they will be judged by God and given the appropriate punishment. So you better rethink about "forgiving God" otherwise you might join them.

Well, if I remember right, it wasn't Christians. It was conquistador's. It was Spain, Portugal, etc. So it was countries, and queens and kings sent them because of "Gold, Glory, and God."
Are you going to hate queens that sent them, and kings, and people who have been dead for these many centuries too?
Have at it! Bear the grudge.
The one thing I know about that is- it will not make you better, it will not make you happy, and you will keep having to remind yourself why you are angry.
And as your miserable existence continues, you might notice that times have changed. None of those people are around, but you are still the same vengeful you.

God doesn't let things happens. He is omnipotent. If it is true that there is a God, there must have been a reason for your ancestors to be slaughtered. I guess God isn't so benevolent.

God had nothing to do with that religion, just like he had nothing to do with the Pharisees. Jesus told us that each religion would be known for what it was by their 'fruit' meaning works. What you have just mentioned is only the tip of the massive iceburg which are their cirmes.
