Sorry, it's fake. It is impossible to win a lottery if you did not buy a ticket. There is no such thing as a lottery of email addresses. Yahoo! doesn't run a lottery (and they sure wouldn't run it with MSN and Microsoft if they did!). See the links below for a lot more info on Yahoo Lottery scam emails... it's just a way to try to get you to pay clearance or shipping fees to get your prize released. Don't bother writing back.

This is some sort of phishing or fraud scam.

Unless you have specifically played the lottery through an authorised dealer you wont win anything and you certainly won't receive an email like that!

If it sounds to good to be true then it is! Please don't be so daft as to even think anything like this could even be anywhere near being true.

NEVER EVER EVER give out personal details of ANY sort to people who email or phone you at random. If it is genuine you can always hang up and phone a trusted number such as your banks help line or official website address.

Remember authentication is a two way process. When your bank asks you to prove who you are you should ask them to prove who they are.
