I think you need to retake your blood pressure. If this were a true reading prehypertension is the least of your concerns. Your pulse pressure alone is 100. That is definitely not good. BTW, your pulse pressure is the difference between your systolic(top) number and your diastolic(bottom) number. It should be around 40 points apart. If your true reading was 136/36 I would think you'd feel very tired, dizzy, lethargic, etc. My advice is once again take a few more readings and if possible from a different machine. If your bp continues to show abnormal readings please see your doctor asap. It is possible for this reading to be accurate but you would not be considered prehypertensive. It may be indicative of blood loss internally. Just have a professional take it for you and explain to them the reading that you had. Good luck

If you are 136/36, something is wrong. You either typed that or your reader is broken.
Prehypertension is blood pressure between 120 and 139 for the top number, or between 80 and 89 for the bottom number. For example, blood pressure readings of 138/82, 128/89, or 130/86 are all in the prehypertension range. If your blood pressure is in the prehypertension range, it is more likely that you will end up with high blood pressure unless you take action to prevent it.

You better check again. The 136 is a little high but the 36 seems totally impossible. A reading of 50 to 60 would be good..try again..it's definitely not prehypertensive with that reading....

136 is not that back you can start pass DOT physical with that number. But 36 is way low.
You need to get your machine checked. Part of your digit read might be broken where it is supposed to be reading 86 the leds or plasma on the 8 are partally out giving making it show 36 on the screen.
It was most likely 136 over 86. But you need to get it checked to make sure.
You need definitely need to get your pressure checked at a clinic to be sure of whether it is your monitor or your pressure giving the 36 read out.

You need several readings over a period of time to get an accurate idea of what your blood pressure is like since it can be influenced by numerous factors (e.g. stress, diet, exercise). Gold standard BP is <120/ 80. 36 is probably an error, especially if your BP was done with a machine rather than using a stethoscope. A systolic reading of 136 isn't too bad. Your dr would prolly suggest eating better and getting more exercise

Blood pressure is many factors. Age is one factor when checking blood pressure. You obviously are not trained in taking blood pressure readings. See a doctor for a true reading.

I'd get that number verified by your doctor, your diastolic (bottom number) is unusually low if that is a true reading.
