Im looking for my half brother who lived with our dad.
He used to visit but i havent seen him since about 10 years ago.
I know his last known address and it turns out our grandad still lived there till he died last month.
So maybe thats a good place 2 start.
I live abroad so cant call directory enquiries.
Have been trying to look online but everysite that comes close then asks for money and as im only 16 i dont have a credit card to pay them.
Does anyone know any TOTALLY free ways of doing this online??
It would really help---
Thanks!

Keep trying the internet. There are too many ads for payment but if you keep trying and going to different sites like google you may have more luck. Not only that, you can either call the library or fax the library maybe even email the library where your brother last lived and see if he bought a house, got married or something of public info. You can also contact the sherriffs/police department and see if there are any arrest records that is public info also.

Many phone books are online for free. Try searching www.realpages.com . Also try to search by his name in quotations in search engines. For example "John Doe". That makes sure it only picks up the exact name - not every John on the planet. Try Myspace.com as a lot of people use it.

You can also try Craigslist.com by posting him in the area he last lived in.

If you know what school he went to you can try to search through www.classfinder.com . You may need a paid membership to contact him if you find him on there - but it is minimal and worth it if you are $5 away from contacting him.

Some newspapers offer free online classified ads. You can try posting in the area that he was in.

Also you can try putting up a website with LOOKING FOR YOU and submit the site to search engines. Sooner or later someone who knows him might find it.

Good luck!

Try www.b4usearch.co.uk
It's a site that searches for people who are on the electoral roll.
It's free to use and someone of your grandads age would have been registered.Try typing in your brothers name because depending on his age you could well find that he's registered by someone other than himself.
Good luck I've found loads of people I was looking for x

You can send a letter to him and put, excuse me if I'm wrong, "forward service requested" on the envolope. Or try Intellious search, zaba search (FREE), myspace and so on.

Also save up your lunch money and buy a visa gift card and use that for your search there only 19.95 and when you do do your search try your granpa's address first and see what comes up with that it will give you list of your grandpas realitives and then you can buy that.

You can try classmates. com to.

it changes all the time. I found someone I had lost 26 years before using the internet. WhitePages dot com, actually. It was free then but later they tend to charge.

try myspace... chances are if he's a half brother and maybe in the same age group/generation as you, then he probly has one... you can search by last name only, or by first name only and narrow it down iwht like a radius of 50 miles or so....

hope that helps.
