Apparently, the Kornet was fired against Merkava tanks last year and were unable to destroy them.

This is another example of the difference between the battlefield performance for Russian weapons not matching the hype.

Who knows? It hasn't been tested as extensively on armor of all types like the Javelin has. It hasn't seen much combat use, if at all. Information on the Kornet is very scarce.

I'd like to think it'll work well though. There are so many different weapons capable of knocking out tanks with ease it's a wonder why people would even bother using them except against inferior forces.

Nope,

The Kornet is about the same as the American TOW missile.

Means you have to sit still and guide it to the target.

It's not a fire and forget missile like the American Javlin Missile.

do no longer be conscious of plenty approximately Cobham Armour or the depleted uranium shell of the Abrams however the Kornet Missile has been around an prolonged time so i might assume (desire to God) the rustic has some style of counter to the tandem warmth warheads via now. in no way got here upon any information approximately what approaches Hezbollah used to break the merkavas yet i might assume they might have disabled them with the kornets particularly than a unmarried direct hit on the turret or glacis blowing them up.
