He says to me all the time that I need to stop "trippin" about us. I want to be in a relationship with him but I am not ready. I say this to him alot and he seems patient so far. But then he says "You need to stop trippin". He seems to try and make me jealous all the time talking about his ex-girlfriend and I am sick of it. I am getting mixed messages. I tell him I don't want to get involved too deep but the sex is great. This last time during sex he wouldn't look at me like he normally does. What is going on with us? I felt weird and asked him to stop. He later asks me what is wrong and I felt confused and he went and smoked a cigarette. What the hell is going on? Am I really trippin for real or am I the one sending mixed signals?

sounds like you two are not communicating well enough. Like your both getting mixed signals. I think hes wanting more with you, and wanting you to trust him in a relationship, and your probably just not ready for it all yet, and the mixed signals he gives, makes you even more uncomfortable. It seems like you two are spreading apart. Talk it out with each other. It will get you somewhere

Why did you ask him to stop? An you don't want to get involved too deep but you want the sex?

Probably one of those men games where they accuse you of "trippin" when what you are sensing is real. I just went through that. I was unreasonable, so he said. Come to find out, my feelings were dead on! I knew he was cheating, but he kept telling me that it was my imagination. Well my imagination must be extremely realistic, because I flat out caught the SOB!!!
Trust your gut feelings girl!!! If it feels wrong, it is!!!
