i was wondering how you get that black border frame around pictures?? i see it all the time and love it!!! im starting out in photography and love to learn,,,Please Help!!! thanks,=)

As mentioned, the stroke command in Photoshop. Or you can go to canvas size, make the canvas bigger then use fill for the frame. With stroke, you are limited to a radius of 250 pixels. Using canvas size, you can go as big as you want in one step.

In Photoshop you just create a new layer, select all, go to Edit>Stroke. Chose Black, choose the width, and hit OK.

If you are processing pictures traditionally, when you print them on the enlarger you would size the photo smaller than the paper holder, so the edges would get overexposed.

Google searches on all the photographic sites with the particular tag. The black border around the photo is put by the uploader. The editing software facilitates it.
