I know they believe something like they'll live with their families again in Heaven... If you were a member and left the church, would yo unot be able to live with your family again if the religion is true?

The only real answer: We won't know until the judgement.
To assume and say that person never returns to the church, but lives a good life, that person will most likely inherit a place in the Terrestrial Kingdom...not Celestial where the family unit exits.
But, I also believe, and this is my personal opinion, that a lot of people who leave the church, but still live good lives, will live during the millenium and "come back" to the church... then, being up to God, they may enter into the Celestial Kingdom - if the requirements are met...that's just my own opinion. I kind of also think that those in the Celestial Kingdom will be able to visit those in the lower Kingdoms if wanted.
Doctrinally, if a person is not in the Celestial Kingdom, their family unit does not exist, they cannot progress further in any aspect and they will be without the presence of God and Jesus Christ. I cannot imagine that, so I strive for the Celestial Kingdom!

Mormons believe that Families can be together eternally. We also believe that we will be judged righteously and we'll get about what we deserve based on our understanding and corresponding choices.

Mormons believe in a more complex version of the afterlife than just heaven and hell. Essentially, there are 3 kingdoms of Glory. that we'll all end up in. The Bible speaks of these saying one is like the Sun, another the Moon, and another the stars in Glory. Note that each one is a kingdom of Glory and not misery. They are all great....however there's a difference between winning $1000 and winning 1 Billion Dollars. Both are good....one is a LOT better. (we do believe in Hell, but we'll save that for another time).

Individuals in higher kingdoms can visit those in lower kingdoms. The phrase "Eternal families" refers to having all members of your family in the highest kingdom.

Mormons are bold. We invite everyone to talk with the missionaries, read the book of Mormon, and then pray to God to find out if it's true. God answers prayers. Do this, then pray humbly, sincerely, and with real intent, and I promise God will answer your prayer.

Anyone in the highest kingdom

I don't believe the church and my entire family is aware of my lack of faith. It's only the members of the church who believe that if you aren't worthy you won't be able to live with your family after death. I personally have no reason to believe that there is anything after this life.

This sounds somewhat like a version of Pascal's wager regarding belief in God.

My family has been a little different since they found out about my disbelief. Only a couple of them have actually talked about it with me. For the most part it is an awkward topic since they don't want to feel like someone is questioning their beliefs. I've been able to talk about it with people at work more than with my family...kind of sad.

"You would leave the church and if your family loves you they will not care." I gave this a thumbs down because if your famiy loves you, THEY WILL CARE. And they will be sad.

Very few up and leave the church. Usually it is after a long time away from the church and its teachings. The gift of the Holy Ghost is confirmed on those that have been baptized and a lot can be said about this.

there many levels of understanding for this question.
the promise of eternal life and immortality is only given to them that are celestial.
infidels are worse than many things
some wives who are celestial will be given to Other men who are celestial.
while some single men can become celestial they cannot receive exaltation
without exaltation, justification and sanctification, a person will only become like the angels. In the kingdom of God angels do not marry. but it has been proven that THEY can rebel against God and take daughters of men and nephelim are born.
there are so many issues to split hairs on, this is just another.

i assume it would rely on what the pal became in contact in. enable's say the pal is bowling, however the league they are in is one that overtly helps something that the church is against...say homosexuality or porn or something like that. Then whilst it would be high-quality to flow bowling including your pal, it would be seen questionable (in step with danger fairly questionable) in case you went bowling including your pal on a evening while the league became bowling and your pal became on the group. it would be tricky to cajole others which you weren't in help of in spite of the league became in help of in case you chosen to stay and bowl with them. often talking i think of LDS might experience uneasy doing something like that. i be attentive to i might. EDIT: regardless of the undeniable fact that, in the adventure that your pal became say eating coffee or smoking a cigarette, for numerous people who may well be diverse. i think of it fairly relies upon on the guy, and what the guy who's no longer a member is doing/is ordinary for/and so on. EDIT: Will wonders under no circumstances end! I trust beachlady. If a individual is in open insurrection then that is seen as diverse than if somebody basically makes a decision for themselves that it is not genuine and definitely would not make a huge deal approximately it. EDIT: You stated, "...if i'm understanding what you and others have stated, then this attitude would desire to describe area of the solutions i'm searching for. Does this make experience to anybody else, or have I have been given it tangled up in some way?" I say which you obtain it appropriate, a minimum of from my attitude. that isn't the only reason, i'm particular, regardless of the undeniable fact that this is a huge one and that i think of it performs a huge area interior of something of the justifications.

That is something that is up for personal interpretation. It's very difficult to try to explain what I think in this answer both because I don't know how much you know about the mormon faith and because I don't want bashers hating me. If you would like my opinion, send me an email and I will tell you what I think, but it is in no means set it stone.

to have a fullness of joy wouldn't be complete if you lost any member of your family. there was a talk given by a general authority. i can't remember who, but i think it might have been packer or holland, that talks about still being able to be with those who are sealed to you. God loves us. and His perfect plan allows a way to see those we love. i would think no matter what they have done.

Probably not. Apostates don't get into the Celestial Kingdom, supposedly.
