70% of Christians believe the Constitution is a Christian based document that specifies America is Christian (btw, it is NOT. Go and actually read the freaking thing, and the Bill of Rights and the Preamble).

They do know, however, their right to bear arms. Sadly, only some realize it is actually not in the Constitution, but in the Bill of Rights. But I digress.

In answer to your question, it is their Constitutional (kind of) right. That is why so many Christians own guns.

I thank because a lot of the Christianity in this country is a a mix of State Religion,Right-wing politics and some kind of macho code of the west crap.
GOD GUNS AND GUTS MADE AMERICA GREAT.

Guns to slaughter the Indians and hold the slaves.
their idea of a God that told them they had a right to do what they did (do!)
and the guts (and lack of shame) to look at them-self in the mirror afterwords.

And of course its pretty WHITE out there too,and those big black guns compensate macho Joe-Bob for his little "grand wizard"

Because it's predominately Christian. Come on! Think here :P

That and a lot of people hunt down here. It's the second religion.

Guns are important on a historical level, where governments and large agencies have often turned aggression on their very own people.

The government and the system aren't friends to the free thinking and common person.

Stand up against the system, and you'll be crushed.

The US was built with a vast historical mindset. I think it's important to realize that decisions weren't made at an ad hoc level, but these were scholars who placed technology in the hands of people at a greatly democratized level.

I'm not trying to accuse you of stealing material, but I have heard something like this before...is it Bill Hicks? I can't remember, but it's so familiar...

Anyway, it's still funny.

For one we have the right to bear arms. Secondly, hunting is allowed in the east and South and North. And thirdly they have the rights to defend themselves against intruders just like anyone else.

The "Bible Belt" isn't what it use to be.

I don't see anything wrong owning a M50 sniper's rifle.
